The exhibition
As a critical observer and conceptual powerhouse Barbara Kruger grapples with power dynamics, gender, identity, late capitalism, and the mass media in her first survey exhibition in Scandinavia.

No Comment will transform ARoS‘ Lev. 1, spread across the ARoS museum building and into the public realm. All vinyl works in this unique exhibition are customised to ARoS' architecture; the largest being over 30 metres high and on display on the entrance wall from Lev. 1 to Lev. 8.

"We are thrilled to introduce one of the most influential artists of our time. By skillfully harnessing the seductive power of advertising, Barbara Kruger combines images drawn from mass-media with concise, authoritative language to question social and power relations. No Comment, I’m sure, will have us look at our lives and society anew,” says museum director Rebecca Matthews.

About Trash Girls 8000
In line with Barbara Kruger's ambition to bring her powerful works to the general public, Trash Girls 8000 has been given special permission to make templates based on her artworks, which you can have printed on your own clothes this evening.

The prints will be made on Level 3 to the sounds of LYC DJ Collective, where you can enjoy making a tribute to the legendary American artist.

The Trash Girls 8000 event is made possible with support from Tuborgfondet.
