As one of Denmark’s most significant art museums, ARoS wishes to support the up-and-coming art scene and give new talents a boost at the outset of their careers. To achieve this, ARoS will enter into a three-year collaboration with the Jutland Art Academy.  

Beginning in September 2024, the project will include targeted guidance of current students as well as interaction with and advice from established artists. Also, parts of the art students’ teaching will take place at ARoS. 

Furthermore, ARoS will host a series of workshops at the museum where students, recent graduates and established artists engage in conversations about working methods and experiences. Visitors to the museum are invited to attend, thereby gaining unique insight into the life and career of professional artists.  

“It is important for us at ARoS to contribute to the strong partnerships found across the art and cultural institutions of Aarhus and to be able to instil courage, ambition and perspective in the talented artists of the future. We greatly look forward to this collaboration and we hope that everyone involved - whether recently graduated or seasoned – can learn from it,” says Rebecca Matthews, museum director at ARoS.
