Following last year's record-breaking visitor numbers, ARoS is once again participating in culture week K7, inviting everyone under the age of 27 free admission from September 8–14. Join us as we repeat the success of Silent Disco in Your rainbow panorama.

More than 1,000 young people daily visited ARoS last year during K7, where the museum became the most visited place during the nationwide culture week. From September 8–14, 2025, we will repeat the success to create even stronger meetings between young people, art, and culture.

“We look forward to welcoming many young people during K7 and seeing how they make the museum their own — including those who might not visit us often. At ARoS, everyone’s welcome, and we want every young person to feel like they belong here and are part of the energy that drives our creative community,” says museum director Rebecca Matthews.

ARoS After Hours – K7 Edition
Highligt of the week is a special evening for our young, local audience – and everyone else who want to join the party: ARoS After Hours – K7 Edition, on Friday September 12 from 4–8 p.m.

In collaboration with 15 young people, ARoS has created a unique program offering a mix of art, music, and popup events, including a poetry performance with Unge Danske Digtere (Young Danish Poets), armwrestling with Aarhus Armwrestlers, tours in the art galleries, and a K7 quiz with the activist sex toy shop Peech.

You can also explore our new subterranean Salling Galleri, where British artist Jenkin van Zyl combines drag and horror in a mesmerizing exhibition about gender roles and power structures.

The evening culminates with Silent Disco inside ARoS' iconic artwork Your rainbow panorama, followed by a blast of a concert with indie rock band Downtown July, winners of DR’s (Danish Broadcasting Corporation) KarriereKanonen 2024.

When the party ends at ARoS, you can continue to Volume Village for DJ sets and Friday bar.

About K7
K7 is a nationwide initiative that offers free admission to over 200 museums and exhibition venues across the country for everyone up to the age of 27 in week 37. To get free admission, simply bring your free personal K7 card, which can be downloaded from the K7 website, when you arrive at the museum or exhibition venue.
