Practical information

Rules for photography, facilities for the disabled, wardrobe and everything you need to know before your visit

NOTE! Only access to ARoS via Aros Allé / the parking lot due to the upcoming expansion of the museum. The entrance can be reached by stairs or the elevator for people with walking difficulties. 

Photography

It is allowed to photograph exhibits, art and architecture for private use. Sharing photos on social media from private profiles is also allowed. It is not allowed to bring photo stands, drones and the like.

Food and drinks

There is a large selection of food and drinks at the café. 

Eating, drinking or smoking is not allowed in the museum galleries or on the roof terrace.

Handicap

Free handicap parking at ARoS Allé at the entrance. 

There is free parking for disabled people with disabled signs in all our car parks.

An elevator leads up to the entrance from the parking lot, and elevators are available between floors. Handicap toilets: Level 4 near the cloakroom and at Level 3 near the Auditorium.
Wheelchairs and strollers can be borrowed during your visit at ARoS.

Get around Aarhus easily

On foot, by bike or on a scooter
Getting around Aarhus is easy - you can visit most places on foot.

If you prefer an easy way to get around the city, we recommend using bike-sharing services, e.g. Donkey Republic. Easy and convenient to rent a bike via your mobile phone.

Internet

There is free Wifi everywhere at ARoS. #ARoS-Guest

Animals

With exception of guidedogs it is not allowed to bring animals on ARoS.

Wardrobe

Cloakroom & Lockers

There is a wardrobe with the possibility to borrow a locker.
A coin can be borrowed to use in the locker – it must be returned after use.

Small locker: 40 x 36 x 36 cm
Large locker: 85 x 36 x 52 cm

The cloakroom is located next to the Information.

Baby carriers

It is possible to borrow baby carriers at the Information by submitting ID.​

Expulsion

ARoS reserves the right to expel guests for unwanted behavior.
